Scream Halloween Costume

When Halloween comes and you want to dress up as the villain in the movie “Scream” you go to a costume shop and ask for the costume or, you go online and you find the perfect costume. However I’m sure you have at one point wondered whether you can make your own costume, here’s how to:

To make the mask you need two paper plates, a black marker, a pair of scissors, a rubber band and some glue. First you cut out two holes, large enough for you to see through clearly. Then you use the black marker to draw the facial features of the villain on to the mask. Draw both the nose and the distorted mouth as they appear in the movie. On the other paper plate draw the long, slender oval of a distorted mouth and cut it out. Make sure you leave a border of the plate that is an inch thick. Then use the glue to stick the cut out distorted mouth onto the first paper plate. Cut out a pair of small holes, or slits, at the temples of the mask then cut the rubber band once to make a strip. Thread one end of the rubber band through one of the holes or slits and the other end through the other hole or slit. You should tie it in a way that the mask is held in place when you wear it.

To create the famous black hooded cloak you need two large black trash bags, a pair of scissors and a black hooded sweatshirt. Start by putting on the black sweatshirt, then cut out a hole in one of the trash bags. The hole should be large enough for your head to pass through. Then cut out two holes at the sides, large enough for your arms to go through. Cut out sleeves from the second trash bag. Make sure you cut them proportionally so that they fit into the arm holes properly. Then seal them up with cello tape. Cut up the ends of the sleeves so that they look shredded and hang eerily over your hands and wrists. Finally, cut out a wide strip of about 6 inches from the same trash bag you got the sleeves from, and use it as a belt.

Your costume is done. You could also carry around a fake dagger for effect.
